ISLANTILLA GOLF CLUB
Designed by Enrique Canales and Luis Recasens, the golf course presents wide paths surrounds the play terrain from where the Atlantic can be seen. The course is complete with an Andalusian style club house with all the commodities. The Turespaña Open of Andalusia was held in Islantilla in 1995 and was won by Alexander Cejka. Enjoy the emotion of playing where the greats have played. Accept the challenge.
ISLA CANELA GOLF CLUB
The challenge of nature! The Isla Canela golf course lies beside the sea. It has a route which is easy to walk, with light unevenness formed by the dunes. The vegetation of the surroundings consists of brooms, orange trees, olive trees and eucalyptus trees, sometimes strategically placed to make the game more challenging. With a large variety of tees and large greens protected by bunkers, the course is crossed at different points by an estuary. Hole 7 stands out for its difficulty and beauty, a par 5 which can be played from two to green if you take the risk of over flying a river which borders it.
EL ROMPIDO GOLF
El Rompido is a picturesque fishing village in the municipality of Carty, on the west coast of Huelva. The Golf Resort lies at the mouth of Rio Piedras and is surrounded by a protected natural spot. An hour from Seville and Faro (in the Portuguese Algarve), because its climate and surroundings is the ideal destination for lovers of the sea and nature. An 18-hole club with 50 surface hectares. It has a practice course and a pitch area.
GOLF NUEVO PORTIL
This new golf course designed by Alfonso Viador is characterized by its wide paths and smooth greens. With several dog legs, its route has smooth inclinations and makes enjoyable to do on foot. The golf course occupies 46 hectares and is 6.040 meters long. It lies among pine trees with views of the Natural Spot “Marismas de Rio Piedras” and “Flecha de El Rompido”. From its paths, the splendid coast of Huelva, with its enormous dune beaches can be seen.
BELLAVISTA
The Bellavista golf club lies 3 Km from the sea, which can be seen from the route. It has wide paths and several dog legs on the first part. Among its most difficult holes is the 12th, a par 4 that requires a good drive to attempt a good second strike to the green under good conditions. The second route, opened in the 95 greens has more spacious greens and longer wide paths, that allow you to enjoy themselves. The Club inaugurated in 1976, is open to visiting golfers, so they can enjoy a magnificent clubhouse.
CASTRO MARIM GOLF
A total classic, a total challenge! The Atlantic golf course is designed for the enjoyment of golf players af all levels. The views which are offered of the Algarve mountains, the Atlantic Ocean, the Guadiana River and the Natural Reserve of Castro Marim are spectacular. During the game, all types of all classical course figures will be found, like lakes, winding paths and raised greens. The designer has harmoniously combined these elements with the natural scenery, giving shape to a course which always proves to be a real challenge.
QUINTA DA RIA
This magnificent 18 hole golf course is a formidable test of golf of any of the tees and a truly exceptional challenge. The whole area is blessed with a profound peacefulness. From Quinta de Cima Golf the views are slightly different, but no less spectacular, no less inspiring: from any part of the course, both the sea and the Algarvean mountains are a delight to anyone’s eyes. Old centenary olive and carob trees, together with the surrounding orange trees and vineyard, maintain the typicism of the region landscape. It looks like as if the course has been there since centuries ago. This is a protected area and long may it remain so. Hopefully forever.
BENAMOR GOLF CLUB
In unspoilt surroundings nature at a few kilometres from the old town of Tavira, Benamor was finished in spring 2000. it has natural quiet non urbanised surroundings where the Barrocal mountains stand out and from where the best views of the sierra and sea can be enjoyed. The natural conditions of this golf course, designed by Sir Henry Cotton, are unique in the Algarve.
DUNES DE DOÑANA
Golf Dunas de Doñada opened in 2000. The golf course is located straight at the Atlantic Ocean West of Europes biggest natural park la Doñana “El Coto de Doñana”. Dunas de Doñana is a mixture of a links course and a Park-land style course. This fascinating golf course will attract both the experienced and the recreative golfer because of diversity in holes.
